Most OKR implementations fail not because the goals were wrong, but because the rhythm breaks down. Teams set OKRs in January and don’t look at them again until June. This template gives you the full meeting structure for the entire year — every agenda, every timing, every owner — so the cycle actually runs.

It covers both organisation level and team level, and connects every session from kick-off to retrospective.

What’s included

  • Annual cycle overview: A visual map of the full year showing when annual planning, quarterly kick-offs, check-ins, reviews, and reflections happen at both organisation and team level.
  • Annual Planning agenda: A half-day workshop (4 hours) for leadership to define the year’s OKRs, connect teams to the annual direction, and plan the Q1 roll-out. Held in November–December.
  • Quarterly Roll-out agenda: A 2-hour team session for translating the annual OKR into quarterly objectives, assigning KR owners, and booking all check-ins for the quarter.
  • Bi-weekly Check-in agenda: A 45–60 minute recurring team meeting covering KR status, blockers, and actions — designed to fit inside an existing team meeting.
  • Monthly Follow-up agenda: A 60-minute leadership session for aggregated status updates, shared blockers, and org-level decisions.
  • Mid-Year Review agenda: A 3-hour organisation-level session in June for scoring H1, adjusting course, and planning H2 priorities.
  • Quarterly Review agenda: A 90-minute team session for KR scoring, learnings, and input for the next quarter.
  • Team Retrospective agenda: A 45–60 minute Stop–Start–Continue session held directly after the quarterly review.
  • Annual Reflection agenda: A half-day organisation-wide session in December for final scoring, team reflections, trend analysis, and celebration.

How to Use the OKR Annual Cycle Template

Start with the annual cycle overview to map your year. Then work through the planning slides with your team, share the relevant agendas with each meeting’s participants in advance, and assign a facilitator for each session. The template is designed to be used as a live facilitation tool — open it at the start of each meeting and work through the agenda together.

When your full meeting structure is in place, Noxit gives your whole organisation a shared, live view of OKRs, check-in status, and progress — so every meeting starts with the right context.

Also worth exploring: our OKR planning workshop template for the annual planning session, and our OKR review template for the quarterly and annual evaluations.
